MCTS Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Exam 70-642

The Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certifications enable professionals to target specific technologies and distinguish themselves by demonstrating in-depth knowledge and expertise in their specialized technologies.

The MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure course provides students with the knowledge and skills to configure and troubleshoot a Windows Server 2008 network infrastructure. Students will learn to implement and configure secure network access and implement fault tolerant storage technologies. Students will gain an understanding of the network technologies most commonly used with Windows Server 2008 and IP-enabled networks. Students will also learn how to secure servers and maintain update compliance.

OBJECTIVE

This course will help you prepare for the 70-642 Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure exam. Although the 70-642 Exam has its own MCTS certification, it is also part of the MCITP Server Administrator and MCITP Enterprise Administrator certification tracks.

PRE REQUISITE

Before attending this course, students must have:

• A+, Network+ knowledge and be familiar with Windows Client Side
• Working knowledge of networking technologies
• Working knowledge of Windows Server 2003 enviromment.
