OBJECTIVE

To pass the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) exam 70-643. By the end of the course, the student will have installed and configured a Windows Server 2008 Server, configure terminal services, configure web services infrastructure and configure network applications serivces.

PRE REQUISITE

Candidates for Exam 70-643: TS: Windows Server 2008 Applications and Infrastructure Configuration, should have at least one year of experience in the IT field. Candidates should have experience resolving issues concerning network connectivity, desktop operating systems, security, and applications. Their experience should also include addressing logon problems, performing password resets, and resolving most of the following:

• Planning, implementing, managing, or supporting Windows Server 2000 or Windows 2003 Server.

• Working knowledge of networking, for example, TCP/IP and Domain Name System (DNS).

• Experience with a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory and Network Infrastructure.

• Experience with implementing security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network.

• Experience installing, configuring, and administering Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows Vista.
