The Microsoft MCSE credential is one of the most widely recognized
technical certifications in the industry. By earning the premier
MCSE credential, individuals are demonstrating that they have the
skills necessary to lead organizations in the successful design,
implementation, and administration of the most advanced Windows
operating system and Microsoft Windows Server System.
The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) credential is the
premier certification for professionals who analyze the business
requirements and design and implement the infrastructure for business
solutions based on the Microsoft Windows® 2003 platform and
Microsoft Windows Server System™. Implementation responsibilities
include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems.
The Microsoft MCSE training course is designed for students that
are pursuing careers as a Systems Engineers, Technical Support Engineers,
Systems Analysts, Network Analysts and Technical Consultants.
Network + Certification or equivalent knowledge. This includes
Knowledge of hardware, software, operating systems and networking
concepts and skills.
On successful completion of the course, the student will be able
to:
• Support a Network using Windows XP Professional and/or Server
2003 operating systems.
• Perform installation, configuration, administration and
upgrades to Windows XP Professional or Windows 2003 Server
editions.
• Manage, and troubleshoot hardware devices and drivers, hardware
upgrades configuration and maintenance.
Completing the first four Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
examinations will qualify the student as a Microsoft Certified Systems
Administrator (MCSA) in Windows Server™ 2003. Passing all
7 MCP examinations will qualify the student as a Microsoft Certified
Systems Engineer (MCSE) in Windows Server™ 2003.
• The ability to support a network using the
Microsoft Windows XP Professional and/or Microsoft Windows Server
2003 operating systems
• The knowledge to perform installation, configuration, administration
and upgrades to Microsoft Windows XP
Professional or Microsoft Windows Server
2003 editions
• Know how to use network protocols and services in
a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 network infrastructure
• The ability to manage hardware devices and hardware
drivers, hardware upgrades configuration and maintenance
• The knowledge to perform troubleshooting of hardware
devices, providing corrective action
• The ability to plan, manager and maintain network
infrastructure and directory services infrastructure
• The development of network and security analysis skills,
preparing the student for management and consultancy
• The knowledge of how to analyze a current system and provide
a strategy for the implementation of Microsoft
Windows Server 2003 and Active Directory
within a networked system
• The ability to implement and administer security for network
resources and services
• Implement and administer security for network users, computers,
resources, and services.
• Understand and use network and security analysis skills,
preparing the student for network management and
consultancy
