Microsoft MCSA 2003 Certification Course

The Microsoft Certified System Administrator course will ensure candidates will be able to advance their careers by having the skills to successfully manage and troubleshoot system environments running on the Windows 2003 platform. The Microsoft Certified System Administrator certification is for individuals who have the skills to implement a Microsoft product or technology as part of a business solution in an organization. The MCSA certification course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to complete daily task for a single and multiple domain Microsoft Windows 2003 based networks.

The MCSA certification course is imperative for anyone involved in evaluating or supporting a Windows 2003 Infrastructure, including systems administrators, network administrators, network engineers and support professionals.

OBJECTIVE

Students will be able to install, configure, customize, optimize, troubleshoot and support Windows XP Professional/ Windows 2003 Server Operating Systems in a local area network environment.

PRE REQUISITE

Network + Certification or equivalent knowledge. This includes Knowledge of hardware, software, operating systems and networking concepts and skills.

OVERVIEW

On successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  • Support a network using Windows XP Professional and/or Server 2003 operating systems.
  • Perform installation, configuration, administration and upgrades to Windows XP Professional or Windows 2003 Server editions.
  • Manage and troubleshoot hardware devices and drivers, hardware upgrades configuration and maintenance
  • Implement and manage network protocols and services in a Windows 2003 network infrastructure.
  • Plan, manage and maintain network infrastructure and directory services infrastructure.
  • Analyze a current system and provide a strategy for the implementation of Windows 2003 and Active Directory within a networked system.
  • Implement and administer security for network users, computers, resources and services.
  • Understand and use network and security analysis skills, preparing the student for network management and consultancy roles.
