Microsoft Certified IT Professionalt (MCITP) - Enterprise Support Technician Certification Course

The Microsoft Certified IT Professional Enterprise Support Technichian credential allows you distinguish yourself as an IT professional with the current skills and proven job-role capabilities to work effectively with a comprehensive set of Microsoft technologies. The MCITP: Enterprise Support Technician credential validates the knowledge and skills required to deploy and support the Windows Vista operating system in an Enterprise environment.

OBJECTIVE

Upon completion of the program participants will have the ability to install Vista, maintain and Optimize Windows Vista, , configure Windows Vista enviroments, desktop and applications. Students will also have the ability to configure and secure Windows Vista security, network connectivity, Internet Explorer, define users and groups, perform backup and restores.

PRE REQUISITE

Minimal of one year experience in a help desk environment.

Installing Vista Manage workflow
Advanced Installation methods including disk imaging, image creation with Image X, Windows Deployment Services. Install and configure desktop operating systems and applications
Hardware installation and management Troubleshoot the desktop operating system, desktop applications and desktop networking connectivity
Desktop Management including Windows Aero, Windows Sidebar & Multilanguage Support Install and configure hardware devices and drivers
Local User & Group Management Troubleshoot hardware devices and drivers
Configuring and Managing Vista Security including Permissions, Encrytion & Windows Firewall Escalate complex issues to the appropriate administrator
Networking Vista including TCP/IP Configuration, Wireless & Remote Access Install and test department-specific and line-of-business (LOB) applications on end-user computers
Troubleshooting Network Connections Change desktop configurations as needed
Configuring & Securing Internet Explorer 7 Re-image desktops as needed
Configuring Vista's built-in applications, as well as 3rd Party applications System Maintenance, Performance Optimization, Backup & Restore
